Lucy Liu, an American voice actor, producer and singer, is also an actress. Liu is a gorgeous, intelligent actress who inspires numerous Asian actors to make it in Hollywood. She became famous after a number of popular early roles in series. The most notable was her role in the Ally McBeal series, where she portrayed Ling Woo the villainous character. The actress transformed her new popularity into big screen roles in films including Shanghai Noon and Charlie's Angels. In the following film, she delivered an outstanding performance as Japanese crime lord O-Ren Ishii In Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill Volume 1. In addition, she played lead roles in films that failed at the box office, such as Rise: Blood Hunter. After that, she started to voice prominent characters in animation films such as Kung Fu Panda. Mia Mason's performance on Cashmere Mafia, a small screen production, didn't yield results. Southland's critically-acclaimed police drama, Southland and a recurring part in the show helped Liu establish her role as an actress.
