Amber Benson is an American actress, director, and producer. Her most well-known work is her role on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer as Tara Maclay. She also was the director, producer and star on her own movies Chance and Lovers Liars & Lunatics. Also, she starred in Kiss the Bride. Benson was born on the 8th of January, 1977 Birmingham Alabama, daughter of Diane Benson and Edward Benson psychiatrist. Danielle Benson is her artist younger sister. Benson was born to a father who is Jewish and her mother a Southern Baptist was raised in an Alabama Reform synagogue. Benson was a part of Morganville The Series and in The Killing Jar since Buffy's end. Behind the camera she used her writing abilities to work on the Ghosts of Albion series and directed on projects like the 2010's Drones. Buffy, after spending the time and effort in locating them, claims there are around 1800 Slayers all over the world, and 500 of them working with their organization, the Scooby Gang.
