Kathrin Romany Beckinsale was born on the 26th of July 1973. [1][2][3] She's an English model, actress, and singer. Her debut in film came after the appearance of a couple of small television roles. She was an Oxford University student at the time of Much Ado About Nothing (1993). She appeared in British costume dramas such as Prince of Jutland (1994), Cold Comfort Farm (1995), Emma (1996), Shooting Fish (1997) (a modern romantic crime comedy) as well as The Golden Bowl (2000) along with various broadcast and stage productions. In the late 1990s, Beckinsale began film work in America. After starring in the small-scale dramas The Last Days of Disco (1998) and Brokedown Palace (1999), Beckinsale was a part of Pearl Harbor (2001), Serendipity (2001) and Tiptoes (2003). After her lead roles in The Aviator (2004), Click (2006), she was also a prominent actor. All of these films established her as a protagonist in Hollywood.Since her role as Selene in the Underworld film series (2003-2016), Beckinsale has been recognized for her role in action films, including Van Helsing (2004), Whiteout (2009), Contraband (2012), and Total Recall (2012). She still appears in small dramatic projects such as Snow Angels (2007) and Nothing but the Truth (2008). For the two first films she received positive reviews. 2016 was a year of critically acclaimed films. She won the Critics' choice Movie Awards for the best actress in a comedy for Love & Friendship. Jolt (1921) was her first film that brought her back to action films. Also, she starred in Jolt (2021), The Widow (1919) and Guilty Party (2021).
